Deborah Johnson is a Brooklyn-based visual artist, director, designer, and educator working under the moniker CandyStations. Known for her layered projection environments and interdisciplinary collaborations, she has created original visual works for artists including Sufjan Stevens, Kronos Quartet, Sarah Kirkland Snider, Alarm Will Sound, and Beth Morrison Projects. Her practice blends live performance, analog and digital interactive systems, and spatial storytelling—most recently designing visuals for the forthcoming opera Hildegard (BMP) and Joan of the City, an extended reality experience (Opera on Tap). She teaches at Pratt Institute.
