To hear Keir GoGwilt tell it, he’s not good at connecting with people. But the violinist/poet has long worked with Matthew Aucoin, who curated the San Diego Symphony’s January “Hearing the Future” festival, and plays in the ensemble of renowned San Diego bassist Mark Dresser.

GoGwilt, 28, has also collaborated with adventurous dancer/choreographer Bobbi Jene Smith, multi-Grammy Award-winner Chance the Rapper and New Zealand composer Celeste Oram, who — like GoGwilt — is a music-doctoral student at University of California San Diego.
