DESCRIPTION:Co-commissioned by ODC Theater and AMOC \nCreated by BOBBI JENE SMITH in collaboration with KEIR GOGWILT \nOR SCHRAIBER and BOBBI JENE SMITH\, dancers\nMIRANDA CUCKSON and KEIR GOGWILT\, violinists\nand original music from MATTHEW AUCOIN \nBuilding on the cross-disciplinary work performed in A Study on Effort\, an event co-presented by ODC Theater and the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival in 2017\, Bobbi Jene Smith and Keir GoGwilt’s newest project explores ideas of care and caregiving through music\, dance\, and spoken word. \nConceived as a drama between two twinned characters\, a caregiver and a wounded spirit\, With Care is a physical investigation of vacancy\, loss\, and passion using the sensation-based movement practice Gaga. Joining Smith and GoGwilt onstage are dancer Or Meir Schraiber\, like Smith a veteran of Batsheva Dance Company\, and violinist Miranda Cuckson. \nLearn more about With Care HERE \nTICKETS / $30 \nSPECIAL FOR TICKETHOLDERS: GAGA/PEOPLE \nTicketholders will have the option to join Bobbi for a 45-minute Gaga/people class onstage at ODC Theater at 6:30 PM before the performances. Gaga/people classes are open to all people\, regardless of their background in dance or movement. No previous dance experience is needed.
